Dr Shan Senthil

Dr Senthil is an equipment specialist working with Integrated Logistics Company in Kuwait. He is a mechanical engineer with an MBA in sales and marketing, and Doctorate in management sciences and postgraduate diploma in total quality management.
With around 25 years’ experience in equipment and machinery sector, including more than 22 years in the Gulf, Dr Senthil’s work responsibilities have encompassed a wide range of projects and duties, including technical, operations, marketing strategies and the implementation of health, safety and environmental management systems in industrial and marine environments.
After three years working in his home country of India, he joined the technical team of Jeddah Islamic port in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he gained experience in operations and the repair and maintenance of port handling equipment. Five years later he moved to Dubai, from where he was involved in asbestos abatement projects in Kabul, Afghanistan, Manama power plant in Bahrain, and on marine vessels and rigs in Dubai Dry Docks, Jebel Ali, and Port Khalid, Sharjah.
In his current role, he is the technical marketing manager for Integrated Logistics Co, a major company that serves the oil and gas, power and construction sectors in Kuwait, in addition to supporting the Kuwait Oil Company and Kuwait National Petroleum Company.
Born in Coimbatore in the State of Tamil Nadu, India, he has a bachelor of engineering degree from Bharathiar University, India, an MBA in marketing management from Annamalai University, India, and a Ph.D in management sciences from Anna University, India. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in total quality management from Andra Pradesh Productivity Council, India, and an honours diploma in systems management from NIIT, India.
