Abdullah Altunkum is chief executive officer and a member of the board at Turkey-headquartered heavy lifting and transport specialist Hareket Heavy Lifting and Project Transportation Co.

Born in Istanbul but from Kastamonu, Inebolu Evrenye, he studied international marketing in London from 2004 to 2006.

After completing his international education, he worked at companies in the logistics and construction sectors. From 2009 to 2011 he was the country manager at the family company, Hareket Saudi, in Saudi Arabia. At Hareket Heavy Lifting and Project Transportation Co, he was the member of the board of directors responsible for global structuring, until 2020, when he was appointed CEO. He remains a member of the board.

Married with two children, Abdullah Altunkum, is also a board member at the Foreign Economic Relations Board DEİK and at the Turkey-Ukraine Businessmen Association TUİD.
