Scott Hazelton is a world-leading authority on the global construction and industrial materials market, with 40 years of experience working for clients in housing, construction and industrial markets.
He is currently consulting director for S&P Global Market Intelligence, based in Boston, USA. He speaks at industry events, provides executive briefings, and contributes articles to publications including International Construction.
Scott joined consultant IHS in 2000 and rose to become its director for construction and industrial materials. He subsequently held the same position at IHS Global Insight, and assumed his current post at S&P following the 2022 merger between S&P and IHS Markit.
He has a degree in economics from Bates College, Maine.
